Valentine’s Day is not just for humans anymore with our pets increasingly getting a piece of the action!
80% of Australians will purchase a gift for their fur baby this Valentine's Day instead of a human; found the PetSafe® Brand Australia Pet Love Survey.
“Over the last few years more and more people are involving their pets in the big events”, comments PetSafe® Brand Australia Marketing Manager Zarqa Ali, “from presents under the Christmas tree, to huge elaborate birthday parties and now even special Valentine’s Day presents, Aussies spare no expense when it comes to their fur baby!”

85% of those surveyed confirmed their pet would be their only Valentine's.
“People get unconditional love from their pets”, continues Zarqa, “Pets nowadays are considered members of the family and are treated pretty much the same as everyone else, as they should be!”
80% will be purchasing a Valentines gift for their pet, with most people confirming they are happy to spend up to $100 on their fur baby.
Pet pampering is common these days’, continues Zarqa, ‘It is estimated that on average people will spend upwards of $13,000 [1] in the lifetime of just one of their pets. Our survey proves that people love their pets, they are part of the family and pets really do give support by helping people stay healthy both physically and mentally”.
