The Aussie Tour Cat Shows - October & November 2019

Claws out for the international championship title at first grand ‘Aussie Tour’!

3 Pedigree Cat shows to be held in 3 major cities over 2 weekends

Hold on to your whiskers! Australia’s first ‘Aussie Tour’ of pedigree cat shows is soon to shake up three major cities over two weekends! Meeeeow!

Australian National Cats Inc - Australia's only national cat registering group affiliated with the World Cat Federation (WFC) – presents an All Breeds Championship Show in Sydney (Oct 26), Melbourne (Nov 2) and Perth (Nov 3) with a great line-up of judges from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

A cat that wins challenges (points to titles) issued by overseas judges can become an international champion, explained Brian Edwards, President of ANCATS.

“We welcome our awesome local judges and thrilled to have World Cat Federation All Breeds Judges Thea and Johan Lamprecht for the entire show tour!” he said. “We are expecting more than 300 cats to attend the three shows! Many will travel across the country for a chance at becoming an international champion!”

The Aussie Tour will showcase an incredible range of pedigree cats - from the Australian Mist (Australia’s own breed), Sphynx and Maine Coon to the Burmese, Oriental, Siamese and many more popular breeds.

Public invited to watch and learn

“We invite everyone of all ages to come and experience the ANCATS show hospitality with all its glamour and elegance, watch the judging, mingle with breeders and learn about responsible cat ownership.”

ANCATS members are devoted to the welfare and responsible ownership of cats, and encourage the public to microchip, register and desex their cats, said Mr Edwards.

If you’re thinking of acquiring a cat, ANCATS’ Aussie Tour is the ideal event to learn about cat breeds, including their various hair lengths and different personalities, and make an informed decision, he added.

Calling feline enthusiasts!

Mr Edwards encourages pedigree cat enthusiasts from around Australia to compete in the Aussie Tour for a chance to win a trophy and prize!

Entries to the Sydney show open until October 11 and Melbourne and Perth shows open until October 18. For more information about each show, please check the Show Calendar or email wsca@bigpond.com. You can register here.
