Calling all feline fanatics: this fun expo all about cats is fur real!
For cat owners, this annual cat show will be the purr-fect opportunity to meet like-minded crazy cat people, and for aspiring cat owners, the event will be a great chance to live vicariously through those lucky enough to have a furry pal in their lives.
One of the main objectives of the show is to raise awareness for cat rescue and to work closely with shelters across the country to drive adoptions and increase education about responsible cat ownership.
This year's event is expected to be 70 per cent larger than last year's with three times the amount of cats. Cat lovers will be able to meet and greet cats and kittens at the Breed Showcase, where over 30 different feline breeds will be on show so you have the opportunity to meet and learn more about lifestyle requirements, temperament and characteristics of each cat breed.
Your day will be made at the Pat-A-Cat Zone, where you can get up close with felines of all shapes, sizes and breeds.
The Black Hawk Colosseum stage will showcase cats at their most entertaining – think skateboarding felines and talented jumping cats – and you can learn all about cat adoption and maybe find a fur-ever friend to take home at the Cat Adoption Zone.
The Royal Canin Stage will be hosting a number educational talks by celebrity vets Dr Katrina Warren, Dr Chris Brown and new Bondi Vet Dr Danni Dusek, animal behaviourist Rose Horton, plus cat tricks with animal trainer Robert Dollwet from Catmandoo with his cats Didga & Bindi, with trainer Kelly Gill from the Wonderdogs and more.
There will be over 150 exhibitors showcasing products and toys especially suited to your feline friend. In addition to the stalls, you can head along to the Purrfect Paws and Prosecco Parlour where you can get a kitty-inspired manicure and a glass of bubbles.
