Kobold VK7 Cordless Vacuum Mop for pet lovers and allergy sufferers

A third of Australians neglecting mopping due to demands of modern life

The increasing demands of modern life – whether at work or at home – have affected the cleanliness of homes, according to the latest research released by The Mix Australia and New Zealand, official distributor of Kobold cleaning systems and iconic kitchen appliance Thermomix®.

With studies showing that a full teaspoon of skin flakes [1] – the favourite food of dust mites – are shed by a single person over the course of a week, Australians need a fast and efficient solution to their household cleaning schedules.

Hearing this, The Mix Australia and New Zealand have just launched the new Kobold VK7 cordless 2-in-1 vacuum mop in Australia and New Zealand, a cleaning system that gives time back to everyday Australians by enabling users to vacuum and mop at the same time. With two heads – one for vacuuming and one for vacuum-mopping – you simply select the best one for the job at hand.

Executive Director of The Mix Australia and New Zealand Bianca Mazur knows only too well of the increasing demands of modern life.

“At Kobold, we speak to customers about how they clean their homes, and this research only confirms the sentiments on the ground that Australians are time poor, stressed and looking for ways to make cleaning easier. We’re really excited about the introduction of the Kobold VK7 for this very reason, as the most important part of their ‘Cleaning Dream Team” because you can vacuum and mop at the same time – getting two jobs done at once,” Ms Mazur said.

A solution for time poor Aussies

With Australian homes amongst some of the largest in the world [2] and long working hours – the recent study [3] showed streamlining the time spent cleaning, while getting a superior clean is important to everyday Australians.

Despite the vast majority of Australians agreeing that mopping is important to keep their household clean (89%), more than a third (35%) of Australians agree that they usually neglect mopping from their cleaning schedule, favouring vacuuming once a week or more often (81%) over mopping (65%).

This was only exacerbated amongst parents – with three in five parents of young kids (under five years old) stating that they don’t have time to mop their home, and 69 per cent declaring that they would mop more frequently if it took less time.

Sydney-based influencer and mother of three, Amy Gerard, shares how difficult it is to maintain a clean home with the demands of raising children.

“As a parent to three little ones, finding the time to clean the house can be really hard to do amongst everything else that is happening in the day. I’ve only had the VK7 for a few days, but being able to both vacuum and mop with ease has made all the difference. I’ve got peace of mind that my little ones crawling around on the floor, aren’t picking up heaps of germs and dirt,” Ms Gerard said.

Enter the Kobold VK7 – the Cleaning Dream Team

Australians have indicated a preference to vacuum and mop at the same time, with three in five agreeing that they would prefer to vacuum and mop together to save time.

Just like the Thermomix® – the Kobold VK7 vacuum mop incorporates avant-garde German engineering and smart, connected technology to achieve industry-leading quality and performance.

Smart and connected, its intelligent cleaning system automatically detects the change of surface and adjusts settings to optimally clean any surface in seconds. What’s more, the digital display and smartphone app (MyKobold) connection enable users to personalise their clean with personalised settings and customer service.

With three different options of water release available to perfectly match your floor type, the Kobold VK7 vacuum mop will revolutionise how you clean your hard floors – and potentially save the average Australian up to 31 hours per year [4] by mopping and cleaning at the same time! That’s almost a full work week equivalent!

Making homes cleaner than clean – the Kobold Clean

Interestingly, pet owners do not vacuum and mop more frequently than their non-pet owner counterparts, and only spend on average two to three minutes longer than pet-free homeowners on each vacuuming and mopping session.

The Kobold VK7 is a game-changer for allergy sufferers and pet owners, accredited by Sensitive Choice and TÜV Certified, with its new four-layer filtration system, even the most stubborn dust particles are captured.

The Kobold VK7 not only saves time when vacuuming and mopping, but also features a patented four-layer microfibre filter bag technology with three filtration systems. The bags are made with 80 per cent recycled materials and capture 99.99 per cent of particles including dust mites and fine dust (up to 0.3 microns) – for a far more efficient clean than ‘bagless’ vacuums in market.

And, as a busy working mum, Bianca Mazur fully understands the importance of floors being truly clean, as opposed to simply appearing clean.

“As a mum of three kids, I know how much time my kids spend on the floor! Not only when they're crawling and learning to walk, but even just for playtime. It's so comforting to know those floors are truly clean - not just looking clean. So, when their hands go in their mouths, I'm not worrying about it,” said Ms Mazur.

Your time freeing Dream Team

Lightweight, easy to handle and cordless, the new Kobold VK7 cleaning system truly reaches everywhere. With two heads – one for vacuuming and one for vacuum-mopping – you simply select the best one for the job at hand.

Easy to store as it’s free-standing, this also means you can break in-the-middle of a clean, without having to prop it up. What’s more, thanks to the Start & Stop function, it switches off automatically.

The new Kobold VK7 cleaning system is a complete, modular and innovative solution for cleaning home environments.
